The year 2005 brought in the Divine feminine energies. It was the year of the Magdalene. The Da Vinci Code highlighted, in a most public way, the fact that the male and female spiritual energies needed rebalancing. Somehow, over a period of time, Magdalena’s identity had been written out of history, forgotten or mixed up with the identity of a ‘repentant sinner’. Suddenly, with the success of this book, everyone was talking about the possibilities of Magdalena being the wife of Christ and one of the twelve apostles. It is probable that Magdalena was a powerful priestess in Her own right and the Tower (Magdal) amongst her people. With the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and other such ancient documents more truths concerning the Magdalene will be revealed. The role of women in society is changing. Slowly and surely they are being re-empowered. Re-balancing the male and female, the yin and yang, the black and white will help establish a more grounded, centred and responsible person. When we are balanced and grounded in all our bodies (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) the way we live and treat each other will also be balanced and wholesome. The Shekinah, the Sophia (also mentioned in Da Vinci Code) is no longer in exile. The Sacred Marriage or uniting of the male and female aspects of God, which is sometimes referred to as the Hieros Gamos, is ever closer and “As Above So Below”.
The year 2006 is all about the thirteenth archetype, the ‘Judas’ character and integrating the shadow aspects of us. Integration and Assimilation are words that will be bandied about freely this year, while we face the ‘final battle’… the unification of The Twelve and the One. Healing the wounds of betrayal, forgiving others and ourselves and redeeming what was once outcast. Integration is all about unifying and making the self ‘whole’ and balanced. This may take many forms. One method, which will pick up momentum during the next eighteen months, is spirit release, also known as space clearing or energy balancing. This holistic therapy has been practised in ancient times using different skills, but it has resurged and is becoming more accepted within the traditional therapies for healing situations, people and places. It is similar to exorcism, but practised in a gentle and meaningful way and used along with the more traditional therapies such as psychological counselling as a way of clearing away spiritual, emotional, psychological and even physical debris.
